The Balmain collection at Specsavers is the sort of range that has non-glasses wearing fashionistas rethinking their luck of 20:20 vision.
Super chic, fashion-forward and ultra cool. This, in my opinion, is one of the best collections to have hit the glasses market in a very VERY long time. For those like me who want something that little bit different and little bit more special to add a seriously fashionable edge to their style.
If you remember I was lucky enough to be offered a pair of my very own by the very lovely and very kind team at Specsavers Newry when the collection first launched before Christmas. If you were following me back then you will know I struggled big time to settle on a single pair of frames and had to put it to the vote and get you guy’s to help. I know I covered all the details back then and introduced you all to the collection. However, since I still get asked about my glasses on a regular basis plus I’m conscious that I’ve had quite a few new followers since then, I figured it might be a good idea to do a recap.
One aspect that really REALLY impressed me about my experience with Specsavers Newry was that they were able to have my glasses ready to take home in 1hr!!! Yip really! If they have your lense type in stock they can have your new glasses ready for you in an hr (just time for a nosey around the shops in the Buttercrane shopping centre or grab a bite of lunch).
The team instore were really lovely and after my eye-test they kept their patience as I still pondered over my choices… I’m such a pain!!lol
My frames are quite a bit larger than what I’ve had before (so much so my lovely hubby likened me to Dennis Taylor for the first few wears… men eh). They just make such an impact which I love and the rounded shape is something a little different and ultra modern. The gold and marbled brown colour set goes with pretty much everything and aren’t as harsh on me as the darker frames. I like glasses that I can wear without needing a full face of makeup.
Even though I absolutely LOVE my new glasses I was totally torn on which pair to choose for myself. I honestly fell for several of them. Here are a few of my other favourites…
I might just need to treat myself to a ‘spare pair’.
Each pair retails at £169 (which if you’re an everyday wearer like me really isn’t too bad for a pair of beaut designer frames.)
I adore the stand-out quirkiness of the range and the fact it just oozes style. You can view the full collection that is instore now on their website here – Balmain Glasses range at Specsavers Newry
