Hope this week has been good to you. I certainly can’t complain as I’m writing to you from my balcony in Nice. Soaking up views of the beautiful blue water as it meets the equally beautiful blues skies and feeling the heat of the sun on my skin. Bliss.
The thought of heading home on Thursday isn’t the most appealing but it does mean it will almost be time for the highly anticipated Style Week to launch!
Style week runs from October 9th to October 14th.
I am so so excited for this week-long event which will focus on showcasing some of the amazing businesses and stores that Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough council areas have to offer.
Throughout the week there will be five fabulous fashion events with catwalk shows featuring local retailers and beauty demos, as well as four Style Workshops with everything from Autumn/Winter Wardrobe essentials (hosted by moi) to yummy mummy style (with the super glam Cathy Martin).
I am absolutely delighted to be hosting one of the style workshops and I hope any of you who decide to come along will enjoy a fun evening of fashion chatter and maybe pick up a few styling ideas along the way!
I’m hosting the ‘Dress to Impress’ workshop on October 10th at Marketplace Theatre in Armagh from 7pm-8.30pm. Anyone who has been to one of my workshops before will know I like to keep things very informal and relaxed. We will chat about the biggest trends for autumn/winter and how to wear them whatever your style and budget! I will be also be featuring some of my favourite pieces from a host of local Armagh based boutiques and stores on the night, hopefully giving you some serious style inspo for casual and dressy wear alike.
For anyone who might not be familiar with some of the stores involved I’ve included some pieces from each of them to give you a flavour of what to expect.
Really hope to see some of you there and make sure to come say hello if you do!
Styled in Armagh
A sneak peak of some of the gorgeous fashion boutiques and fashion stores that Armagh has to offer:
1. Dorothy Perkins
Always a highstreet favourite especially for on-trend basics, workwear and some festive sparkle. As expected they’ve hit the nail on the head with two of this season’s favourite trends and blogger essentials, dark florals and the check blazer👌🏼

2. Baby Boutique: Hamiltownsbawn
Granted we might not be able to wear these super funky outfits ourselves but they’re too cute not to mention! For anyone buying for kids this autumn or already thinking of Christmas get ready for the little ones to give you a run for your money in the fashion stakes when you style them from this uber trendy baby boutique! I want the Guess outfit below in my size so badly lol Also the ragtag cuddly toys make great baby gifts.
3. Oh Lá Lá- 32 Scotch Street
Two of my favourite things at the moment are wide-legged trousers (palazzo pants if you want to get into it) and all things mustard! So you won’t be surprised that I’m obsessing over these two pieces in Oh lá lá.

4. Simply Pink Boutique This was the fab little boutique where we shout the press photos (yip the one with the black and red striped faux fur stoles!!) Melissa and I fell head over heels for these scarves and made a bee-line to use them in the photos! Such a great item to ‘winter-up’ a lighter jacket or add a touch of glam to your outfit! Love, love, loveee!!

5. Mary Curry Millinery and Boutique – 30 Scotch St.
If you’ve a special occasion to go to or you’re ladies day bound, Mary Curry boutique will be able to sort you out from head to toe. I know lots of people struggle with matching up outfits and ‘carrying colours’ in your head (it’s why I have a job lol) so being able to get everything together and beautifully matched is such a plus point! The other colour I’m obsessed with this autumn is burgundy so naturally I had to share this gorgeous outfit with both headpiece and dress available instore. I also noticed that they do Daisy Dixon watches … the burgundy/plum one is such a simple way to embrace one of this season’s biggest colour trends without having to ‘wear’ it in your wardrobe.

6. Just In- 2 Russell Street
This little gem is one I’m currently not familiar with but with the rave reviews I’ve heard I’m sure I’ll have trouble finding just one or two pieces to showcase! I’ll be in for a nosey before my workshop and I’ll be snap chatting my finds so make sure and keep an eye out of you’re as intrigued as I am!
7. The Dressing Room- 19 Scotch St.
Ok so getting to know these Armagh boutiques may have seriously damaging repercussions for my bank balance! Another jacket I believe I may need in my wardrobe is this very chic and everyday-practical black jacket with detachable fur from The Dressing Room! How amazing – this is the sort of jacket you would get SO much wear from! Ticking all the boxes. I also seen that they’re expecting this blue high neck appliqué dress instore soon ….. yes please!

8. Gasp- 9 Upper English Street
A fashion boutique that needs no introduction and when you see the range instore you’ll know exactly why! Gasp have a stunning range of both occasionwear and key casual pieces. I NEED one of these capes in my life – how fab are they??!!

9. Lila’s Fashions- 31 Scotch St.
There’s something for all the family in this treasure trove of a store from womenswear to men’s and even kids! My eyes were drawn automatically to this beaut cross-body bag with an eye-catching floral print which is bang on trend for autumn. Practical and super stylish – what more could you want! Another one for the wish list!
