Ok so I probably should have posted this one last week when the sun actually made a steady appearance as opposed to the grey miserable skies and rain we’ve been stuck with as past few days. I’ve even resorted back to having the heating on and going to bed with my fluffy socks and woolly pjs. However, I have faith that we will get some sunshine back, I’m clinging on to the unfounded rumours knocking around of this Indian Summer heading our way! So with that in mind here are a few bargain pieces I’ve picked up recently that will fit perfectly into your summer wardrobe without causing too much damage to your bank account!
I have to be honest Quiz isn’t a store I usually shop in or even peruse very often but when I was in Buttercrane Newry last week a striped culotte jumspuit in the window caught my attention and decided to pop in for a nosey. Not only did I fall for said jumpsuit but I spied this fabulous little playsuit and a gorgeous red floral dress (see below) which both made it straight away on to my favourite summer buys list. What I love about both is that you can dress them up or down, team with heels for a night out or team with some trainers for a casual day look. They also make perfect holiday pieces, paired with your sandals for evening time or perfect rocked over a bikini by the pool.
2. Red Floral Bardot Dress £29.99 Quiz
3. Pink longline Blazer £10 Primark
I couldn’t believe my luck when I managed to nab this bright pink loose fit blazer in Primark on sale for just £10! Absolute bargain! Gorgeous for summer nights teamed with some white jeans or worn over your favourite little black dress to give it a colourful update.
These fab little slip on sandals are just full of fun and perfect for adding some colour and life to your summer wardrobe. Gorgeous with denim shorts and culottes or go for some serious fashion brownie points and team with pink cropped trousers for colour clashing perfection.
No holiday wardrobe is complete without a straw trilby – in my opinion anyways. However, as they are very seasonal pieces spending dollars on this summer icon doesn’t make a lot of sense. So when I spied this one in Dunnes in Buttercrane shopping centre in Newry for only £5 it went straight into my basket! Perfect on sunny days at home, lazing by the pool or creating a funky festival look. They also pack much easier than a floppy hat if you’re heading away!
Girl you are totally rocking these outfits. I LOVE the first one though. That grey bag with the awesome blue jumpsuit… yes please!
